At the end of another school year I realized that my students have not had many opportunities to write. I mean, really write about themselves or events in their lives. Thus, the creation of "Pfeiffer's Writers" was necessary.
My hope is for my students to embrace narrative writing the last ten days of school. If you are a teacher you are probably laughing right now, but I really believe students will welcome the change in our routine.
Their assignment is to write three narratives from a list of ideas. They'll need to brainstorm, write multiple drafts after revising and editing with peers and myself. Their narratives do not need to be a specific length. I believe stories can be told in one sentence and others take hundreds of paragraphs, this decisions is left to the writer.
I will post their stories as they are received. I expect students to comment positively on their peers' narratives. This will be a collection of writing I will cherish.
